Elite Gives Back
Elite is proud to highlight charities and causes that we as a company value. The following list is made up of organizations that we wish to shine a spotlight on and bring a bigger awareness. Together, we can make an even greater impact and one day find a cure.
Across the country, the Children’s Tumor Foundation provides support to NF patients and famiLies, raising NF awareness and funds for research.
Neurofibromatosis, or NF, is a genetic disorder that affects 1 in every 3,000 people. It causes tumors to grow on nerves throughout the body, and can lead to deafness, blindness, disfigurement, bone abnormalities, learning disabilities, disabling pain, and cancer. NF occurs in all populations equally, and there is not yet a cure.
Through a relationally driven effort the Aruna Project exists to bring and sustain freedom to women/girls that are exploited in sex trafficking. By mobilizing thousands to take part in Aruna Runs across the US, we can fight for the enslaved, value the discarded, care for the exploited, and bring employment to those who have stepped into freedom.
Pancreatic Cancer Research is near and dear to our hearts here at EBS. Don Swett who was one of the initial investors, a Step-Father, and Step- Grandfather of multiple employees at EBS, lost his battle to Pancreatic Cancer November 18th, 2014. In honor of him, EBS will be doing its part in advancing the fight against Pancreatic Cancer.
Price of Life is a week-long campaign fueled by faith and the idea that one of the best ways we can eradicate human trafficking is through mobilizing college students. We are partnering with over 70 organizations (from Circle K to the UM Law School) to put on 30+ events the week of October 19-24th. It is our goal to educate 30,000 people about human trafficking and mobilize 5,000 people to engage in the fight to end modern-day slavery! Watch the Price of Life campaign trailer to learn more.
What Price of Life Stands For:
Educate - It starts with knowledge. Did you know that human trafficking is modern day slavery? Did you know that there are an estimated 27 million in slavery today?
Engage - Justice isn't just about knowing that evil exists. Or that people do bad things. It's about promoting the well being of both friends and strangers alike. We have to engage all sectors of our lives.
Eradicate - Can slavery really be eradicated on a large scale? Will there be a day where all people may know freedom?
